Propagated by seeds, vegetatively from rhizomes and from dormant leaf buds on flower whorls. The plant grows well at 20-30 ° C in medium hard water (KH 2-15 °) with a neutral pH value (6-7) under moderate to strong light.

The soil for planting in a pot should consist of equal parts of leafy earth or peat and sand. Sprinkle the top of the pot with regular aquarium soil to prevent nutrient leaching. Each bush very quickly forms 2-3 whiskers, on which young plants appear one after another. Such a mustache with 2-3 daughter plants can be separated from the mother bush and planted in a new place. Growth rate is average.
