When it comes to breeding, the most important aspect is by far the kerung (breeding approval). Allow me, therefore, to start this year's season by putting forward a few ideas that you, the breeders and my dear colleagues are well aware of, but, it seems to me, still deserve a general review again.
There are many kerungs, among them there are hurried ones, there is no way to assess the merits of the dog correctly, there are cases of illegal actions, a lot of animals are not prepared for the demonstration. These are all sad facts, each of which justifies the writing of this article. The practitioner shouldn't constantly reaffirm that testing essential skills always reveals a lot of significant mistakes! My design would be useful for the purity of the breed and would make fewer mistakes.

It will be interesting to make an excursion into history and look into those distant times when the kerung appeared. Already in 1840, it was said about the choice of animals for breeding. The term "körung" means selection, equivalent to "being selected." At that time, this mainly concerned horses, cows, pigs, the management of breeding of which was in the hands of local agricultural groups, and only later these methods began to be used for purebred breeding of dogs.
The selection work mainly concerned males because of their higher productivity than females. This reminds me of an old saying: "A bull is half the herd" (we know, of course, that this cannot be applied to a German shepherd without proper qualifications!). The criterion of males at that time was reduced to the assessment of the skeleton and strength, and it also influenced milk production and other indicators. There have not yet been appropriate tests to check the qualities of the animal itself. Along with the writing of the first book on zootechnics at the end of the last century, the obligation to check animals during breeding appeared.
After the breeding law of 1937, German Shepherds had to pass certain tests, after which they were divided into three categories. This method of selection (checking i.e. kerung) was applied prior to a new law introduced in 1976. The choice of the animal has become more perfect, it has become dependent on the performance of certain skills by the dog. We cannot forget that the German Shepherd must combine good conformation and working qualities, which is not always the case. This justifies the inclusion of a check of the nervous system in the kerung. Next, we'll look at how the fitness of addition is tested, or as Stefanitz put it, the “beauty” of the German Shepherd, which has made it one of the most famous and popular breeds.
A few days before the kerung, the kermaster must decide whether it will take him one or two days to check the animals.
As you well know, a maximum of 40-45 dogs can pass the kerung in one day. This, of course, does not mean that the judge will postpone the check to the next day because of several dogs in excess of this number.
Work must begin at the exact time specified on the day agreed with SV. Kermaster is assisted by a defendant, an assistant to the defense referee, they are notified in advance about the place of the kerung. Competitors must know how to test and be able to properly present their dogs. Each kermaster has his own view of the breed and methods of examination. Organizers are looking for an organized, collected, experienced specialist who can quickly assess the advantages and disadvantages of the presented animal.
First of all, he must consider all dogs together, both males and bitches, then make certain tests regarding their character, psyche, etc., then the bitches are removed at the end of the kyorung.
Test results are recorded in the following order: temperament, sleeve grip, teeth, testes, stance, movement. Kerung serves the requirement of the correct combination of dogs, lines, families when breeding to improve the breed as a whole. The detection of any shortcomings associated with strength of character, independence is a priority for verification, they are included in the certificate without any indulgences. And that should seem right to any divorcee. It will not be beneficial to use an unworthy animal.
The work of a kermaster should be aimed at the good of the breed. Correct and objective assessment of dogs, and then issuing recommendations for their use - this is the main task of the kermaster.
Viewing usually begins with a character test. The exact tests will not be given here, we will only note that you can always contact the kermaster with a request to explain how they will be carried out. The test result should always depend on whether the judge was convinced of the dog's temperament Actually, the idea of this test is not an assessment of the dog's execution of an order, but the features of its behavior in a free state.
In my opinion, the kermaster should go around the dog, greet the handler by shaking his hand, then, if possible, touch the animal. I believe that dogs that will not tolerate this are fundamentally flawed, which means that they do not comply with the basic principles of behavior characteristic of this breed. This test fully shows the strength of character in a German shepherd. I quote the words of a recent colleague, the author of several works on testing temperament. “This will be, dear readers, a general indicator of her character, probably he is not so wrong”?

German Rex, Or Hermann Rex

The German rex (German rex) - the very first breed of cats with curly hair. The German Rex is believed to be descended from a curly-haired cat named Munk, who lived in the 1930s and belonged to a family in East Prussia. His parents were Russian blue and Angora cats
Examination Of The Old English Shepherd Dog (Bobtail)

Try, ignoring the luxurious coat, to give a preliminary estimate of the four bobtails presented in profile. Even without probing, it is easy to understand that two of them are very similar, the third has poor angles of the limbs, and the fourth is too high (due to the straightened angles of the limbs)
South German Horse

The South German coldblood horse is a strong and lively heavy draft horse, a descendant of the Norician horse introduced to Bavaria (southern Germany) in the 1800s. The Noriker is a wonderful horse, but the breeders from Upper Bavaria wanted to create their own breed
Shepherd Tree Frog (Hyla Cinerea)

The shepherd tree frog , or the green Caroline tree frog , or the blue tree frog (Hyla cinerea), is the smallest of the Hylidae family. It is an agile amphibian, capable of jumping high and far. Inhabits the Southeast United States in wetlands and marshes, plants along the banks of ditches and reservoirs, tree branches
Keeping A Shepherd Tree Frog (Hyla Cinerea)

To keep a shepherd tree frog, you need a vertical type terrarium with a volume of 60 liters or more. As a substrate, you can use ready-made or a mixture of peat with mulch. The terrarium is cleaned weekly. For heating, use a heating pad or night lamp located at the top of the terrarium
